PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Plan and conduct technical training for service support personnel (including AMO authorized distributors and customers) on AMO products. Creates and revises training programs, materials, manuals, and exams as necessary. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support new product and/or existing product improvement roll outs.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
1. Develop and maintain new coursework material specific to existing and future AMO products.
2. Assist in developing and maintaining service manuals.
3. Conduct technical training courses in the use and service of complex equipment.
4. Work with cross-functional teams to support product improvements and new product introduction for the development of training materials.
5. Prepare lesson plans from company literature and external documentation.
6. Instruct students in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.
7. Continually improve test material to determine the applicability of course material.
8. Prepare training records to ensure compliance with protocols and FDA regulations.
9. Assist in establishing and maintaining training centers across the globe.
10. Properly maintain and upgrade training equipment and test tools utilized in training courses.
11. Maintain training center organization and calibration of training tools.
12. Assist in providing high level technical support to U.S. field service specialists for resolving unusual customer related product issues.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
This position supports all internal departments and external distributor/customer field support personnel from a training perspective.
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Training, Field Service, Technical Support or Related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Technical training experience with laser technology or highly complex integrated systems preferred.
Experience in training material development is a plus.
